This week, Thistle Wind Partners attended the Supply Chain Roundtable in Aberdeen, where representatives from across industry and government came together to discuss how the offshore energy transition can maximise opportunities for UK businesses.
During the discussion, Bowdun Project Director Ian Taylor shared insights from Bowdun Offshore Wind Farm's Supply Chain Pathways Programme, highlighting how Thistle Wind Partners is working to support Scottish businesses, develop skills and create lasting economic value through the ScotWind programme.
Building a strong domestic supply chain is essential to ensuring the benefits of offshore wind are felt across Scotland and the wider UK. From manufacturing and fabrication to ports, logistics and specialist services, collaboration across the sector will be key to developing the capability and capacity needed to deliver future projects.
Events such as this roundtable provide an important opportunity for industry and government to share experiences, identify challenges and work together on practical solutions that support long-term investment and growth.
